Originally from Australia, I have been so fortunate to travel and live in some amazing places in the world, experiencing so many cultures, hence my love for all things culinary, design, art, history and architecture. Virginia Beach is where we call home and I get to enjoy time with my amazing kids, my Fiancé, and our adorable dogs, a blue heeler, Luna and our black lab mix, Dixie. I am a believer in all things happen for a reason and the universe conspiring to make your manifestations come to fruition. So here I am! I have spent the last 18 years growing my knowledge in logistics, trends, processes, designing and honing my skills, building relationships with clients, venues, and vendors to plan the perfect wedding, corporate program, or a fun filled family getaway. We listen to our clients to uncover their needs, create a design and plan within their budget then bring all the personal touches and details together for an unforgettable experience. ​ First wedding: The first wedding I ever planned was in Japan! I had a lot of fun, but I really didn't fall in love with it until I moved to Key West in 2006. Born and raised in Chesapeake, I am a Welder by trade, so a steady hand, attention to detail, and straight lines is a skill I have acquired over the years, and I build stuff, like picnic tables and champagne walls. So when I was voluntold to assist Larissa with her weddings, my OCD kicked in and I had to make sure that all of the ceremony chairs were lined up correctly, and any vinyl that needed to be placed had to be straight. I let her do all the fluffy stuff and it's the only time I let her boss me around (JK) and I'm always in awe of how she meticulously sets up, works with all the vendors, and handles the bridal party and guests. Originally from Mexico and raised in Houston, Texas, I grew up with the "bigger is better" mindset—because, after all, everything’s bigger in Texas! Ironically, I was one of those kids who dreaded working out, so I signed up for any elective that would get me out of P.E., which is how I ended up in carpentry and floral design classes. It’s funny now to look back and realize that those classes paved the way for my career today. Before launching Aleesias Balloons, I taught High School Spanish at Great Bridge Christian Academy. I eagerly volunteered to handle all kinds of decor for school events, which sparked my passion for event coordination, planning, and design. During the COVID pandemic, I took a leap of faith and started Aleesias Balloons, offering a wide range of balloon decor, floral design, and custom displays. Alongside my husband Bryan, we meticulously plan and execute events of all kinds—baby showers, birthdays, corporate and military events, and now weddings. We are beyond thrilled to be part of the LJ White Creative team, where we’ll bring our expertise and passion to flawlessly execute your stunning event!
